This past month has been filled with mixed emotions as we celebrated the return of the living hostages and continued to grieve the losses incurred on October 7 and its aftermath. We also await the return of all the deceased hostages so their families can have closure and they can have a proper burial in Israel.
We are deeply grateful to Congregation B’nai Israel and Temple Or Rishon for hosting the community memorial for the second anniversary of the October 7 massacre and to the Board of Rabbis for their leadership and participation. We are also appreciative of the community members who participated in person and online.
In this regard, we have received significant feedback on the program and are developing ways to improve our planning. Our top priority is bringing our people together, and in so doing, refraining from discourse that divides us.Â
Please continue to reach out to us with feedback and suggestions; your input is critical to our endeavors. May we all be blessed with a year of health, happiness, and peace.
Thank you
from the Sacramento Jewish Federation Board of Directors
