Willie brings a wealth of Jewish communal and development experience, including positions with the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado and Keshet. His most recent position was as Development Officer at Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. Willie also served as a Major Gifts Officer & Women's Philanthropy at Federation. The Colorado native worked directly with the Chief Executive Officer, Federation senior leadership, and Major Gift donors to empower Jewish philanthropy and to raise more than $10 million. Willie also helped to secure supplemental funding to begin PJ Library and Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting young women and their families, of all Jewish backgrounds facing breast cancer, as well as additional funding for a community Taglit-Birthright bus. He also served as the professional contact for NWP Board Members and lay leadership, which represents more than $180 million nationally. 

Elissa Einhorn – Communications Director

Elissa is an award-winning journalist who has published thousands of articles in Jewish publications, including The Jerusalem Post, Times of Israel, The Forward, and the J (Jewish News of Northern California). A veteran Jewish communal professional, Elissa brings her dual American-Israeli citizenship to her work, as well as a global perspective of world Jewry, a result of working for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and several Israeli non-profits. A native New Yorker, Elissa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta and a Master of Science in Communications/Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Rebecca Ray, MSW – Community Social Worker

Rebecca is a social worker with previous experience working in a Jewish nursing home in Western Massachusetts where her primary responsibility was ensuring the residents’ psychosocial well-being. She also has experience working with families with issues such as loss of independence, death of a loved one, and dementia. Rebecca has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master’s in Social Work from Springfield College. Rebecca and her family moved to Sacramento in 2015 from upstate New York.

Rachel Schoenfeld – Community Engagement and Campaign Associate

Rachel has been an active member in many Jewish communities. She started her career as a Jewish Educator at Congregation B’nai Israel, where she taught Pre-K and Kindergarten. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from California State University, Sacramento, Rachel moved to the Bay Area to pursue a career with Camp Tawonga, where she worked as Summer Staff, and then as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. Her passion for serving the Jewish Community remains strong, and has followed her back to Sacramento, where she is thrilled to be working with the Community that gave so much to her so many years ago.
