4.      Are group tickets available for the film festival?

Yes. Groups of twenty (20) or more people can purchase group tickets to individual films, the Saturday night reception, and festival passes at the Crest box office or the Crest website. Group ticket rates are the same as Friends of the Festival rates. Group tickets must be purchased in advance. They will not be available during the days of the festival.

5.      How can I buy tickets for individual films or the entire festival?

·         Crest Theater Box Office, 1013 K Street, Sacramento

·         Crest Theater Website www.crestsacramento.com

·         Call the Crest Theater at (916) 476-3356

6.      We encourage you to buy festival passes and/or individual tickets at the box office!

All tickets purchased at the Crest, either on line or at the box office, include a facility fee. That fee is already built into the cost of your ticket. For example, a $13 ticket price includes a ticket charge of $12.25 and a facility fee of $.75. Online ticket purchases are subject to an additional Ticketfly convenience/service fee.  To avoid that fee, please purchase your tickets at the Crest box office.  The advance purchase at the box office is the most economical way to purchase individual tickets and festival passes.

7.      When is the Crest Theater Box Office open?

The Crest Box Office is open from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and 90 minutes before any show that is taking place at the theater.

8.      Day by day, what events are you entitled to attend with single film tickets?

On Thursday, the reception is free with the purchase of a ticket to the first film, Hummus. During the break between films, people are free to leave the theater and come back in for the second film, or they can stay in the theater. Ushers will go through the theater to check for tickets.

On Saturday, you can buy a ticket to both the reception and the film, or only the film. We assume that most people who go to the reception will stay for the film, so we will not be selling separate reception tickets.

On Sunday, there are three films. As before, they require separate tickets and ushers will be checking tickets of those who choose to stay in the theater between films. Tickets to Shalom Bollywood include the dance performance immediately preceding the film.

9      Will people who buy festival passes get individual movie tickets or do they just need to show the pass at the door?

People who buy a festival pass will receive one ticket clearly marked as a festival pass. Between films, they will be asked to show ushers their passes.

10      I received a film festival pass, but it just shows one date for Thursday, April 19. Is it valid for all three days?

Yes, the Festival Pass is valid for all days of the festival. It includes admission to all films and both receptions. The festival passes also provide you with friend of the festival membership which gives you discounts to the French film festival and any other films the Jewish film festival screens during the year. The Crest Theater ticketing system could only print the opening night date on the ticket, but we can tell the festival pass tickets because of the word PASS and the Jewish star sticker on each one. Individual film tickets just have the name of a specific film on them.
Next year, we may produce larger conference-type badges that folks can wear around their neck.

11.      How can I become a member of Friends of the Festival and what are the benefits?

The annual membership for the Friends of the Festival is $36. You can mail a check, payable to the Jewish Federation, or you can pay on line http://www.jewishsac.org/sjff

Friends of the Festival members receive discounts on tickets and festival passes for both the Jewish Film Festival and the French Film Festival, free attendance at Jewish Film Festival receptions, and mention in the festival program. To buy discounted tickets on the Crest Theater website, festival members will need to use a promo code.

12.  How do Friends of the Festival obtain the promo code needed to buy discounted tickets?

There is a promo code that needs to be used to access discounted tickets on the Crest website. If you purchase a Friends of the Festival membership on line, your emailed receipt will contain the promo code. If you mail a check to the Federation, you will receive the code by email or regular mail. At the box office, bring your receipt to show you are a festival member. Or, just tell the box office you are a Friend of the Festival. They will trust you.

13.  Will there be reserved seats at the Crest Theater?

No, there are no reserved seats, but the Crest can accommodate 915 people so there should be an adequate number of seats. We did sell out the 2016 festival, but the California Museum theater only had 250 seats.

14.  Is there a section available for persons with wheel chairs?

Yes. The ushers can direct you to this section once you are in the lobby.

15.  Does the Crest have assisted listening devices?

Yes, but they only have six (6) assisted listening devices available. Please let the Federation know if you will need one and we will make sure they are available and ready. If need be, we will make every effort to obtain more devices.

16.  Will there be any accommodations for deaf and hard-of-hearing film goers?

Four of the six feature films we are presenting have subtitles. We are requesting close-captioning for the two films that are in English. In addition, we will have a sign-language interpreter available to sign speakers who make festival introductions and who lead post-film discussions. There will be a reserved section in the front of the theater to accommodate those who need these services. One of our ushers can assist you.

18.  Where do I park?

Use the parking garage at 10th and “L” Streets. The entrance is on 10th Street, just north of “L” Street. Take your parking ticket with you as you will need to pay before you return to your car.

19.  Does the Crest validate parking and for how long?

The Crest will provide a $5 reimbursement coupon which can be scanned at the kiosks for credit. If there is an event at the Golden 1 Arena which coincides with the time of any of our films, that there is a fixed price at the 10th & L parking lot. It is usually $5, which is paid in advance, but it could be higher. As a result, no validation can be offered on those days. As of this writing, there are no events scheduled at the arena on April 19-21-22.
