It has been a difficult time up and down our State. Communities in Northern and Southern California are literally burning and need our help. Three major fires have devastated entire communities, leaving people displaced and homeless. Just 90 miles of Sacramento, the Butte County Camp Fire has been determined to be the most destructive fire in California history. The Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region, of which Butte County is a part, is collecting practical goods, such as new towels, new or gently-used clothing in all sizes (including shoes, undergarments, sweatshirts and bras), paper cups, paper plates, paper towels, animal food, new jackets, new coats, and bottled water. Items can be brought to the Jewish Federation, which is also asking for donations to help recovery efforts.
The Jewish Federation’s Committee on Inclusion and Disabilities (CID) improves awareness, support, outreach, and inclusion of people with disabilities in the Jewish community. One of CID’s goals is to establish a Resource and Referral Network to provide information or support in specific areas. This database of individuals, family members, professionals, and organizations will support Jewish individuals, families, and organizations in our region. Please become a Resource in our community!
