Caregiver Support Group
Morning Sessions: 10:00 - 11.30am

Morning and Evening Sessions are open to spouses, family members, and friends who are acting as caregivers for a loved one. The group has an emphasis on those providing care to their aging parents and provides a warm environment in which participants receive support and strategies to address the unique needs and stresses of caregiving. Facilitated by Jane Zeiger, LCSW. Space is limited. $60 for 6 sessions. Congregation Bet Haverim, 1715 Anderson Rd., Davis. Tickle Those Keys, With Some Singing Please!

Mark Stivers has played keyboard with virtually every arts group in Sacramento, from the Symphony and Ballet to the Opera and Choral Society, and has tickled the old ivories for 23 seasons at the Music Circus as well. Peter Petty has performed as an actor and vocalist in the Central California region for more than two decades, and his versatility, ranging from singing with the Sacramento Opera to swinging in his own 13-piece band, will entertain the “swell” out of you, guaranteed!

Violinist Eugene Nisman!

Eugene Nisman is a consummate violinist who has performed with symphony orchestras in Europe and the United States for over 35 years. He plays with exquisite artistry, drawing out the instrument’s versatility with precision and sensitivity, whether he is playing popular classic, Jewish, Klezmer, or any other style from his vast repertoire. Eugene says, “I play whatever my audiences like to hear”, so come and be prepared to request your favorites!

Shabbat Shalom Sacramento
Volunteer to make Shabbat on a Friday afternoon with Jewish residents at a local senior facility. Federation provides all the fixings - candlesticks, candles, grape juice, challah, etc. You provide companionship and a visit! 3:00-4:00pm. For more information or to volunteer, contact volunteers@jewishsac.org.

PJ Friday Play Dates are Back!

Come bring the little one to meet other PJ parents and PJ youngsters. We will enjoy some singing, story time and crafts and end with a PJ Shabbat celebration. Free. Every Fourth Friday. Upcoming Dates: Feb 23 & Mar 23.

New PJ Our Way Class: Intro to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with David Poisner
The Jewish Federation, 2130 21st Street, Sacramento

Learn the basics of computer-aided design (CAD). Design simple objects and learn to manipulate their shapes, sizes and colors. Then design a small building, which could be part of a Jewish Community Center or a synagogue. Due to limited space, RSVP is required for this class. Fee: $5/child and $8/siblings.
